I think im getting really close to finishing this game? Lowkey I've been putting this off for a couple days bc it's felt a little overwhelming, but I just sat down and knocked out a couple things, and it turns out I really don't have too much left to do.
Today I made the intro screen nice(r), by making the "click to start" text responsive to your mouse, instead of just being flat. And then originally I had the game over screen be it's own scene to swap to in godot, but I changed it so instead it functions like the pause menu. Also instead of a stupid stock sound effect when you lose, I have it so that the original music plays with a lowpass filter over it. Fixed a couple bugs on top of that, and I need to call it a night. It's about 10:44pm here, and i'm already cutting into sleep hours before work tomorrow. Not to mention laundry I need to put away, and Lyv's already sleeping so I'll need to wake her up... (I don't feel bad though since she has tomorrow off for President's Day, and I don't >:( )
Anyway, things are coming along. Once it's at a good state I'll have some friends playtest it, then put it up here!

Things are coming along! Gave this one a stupid clickbait thumbnail and title bc i thought it was funny.
First thing, we’ve got an official title and logo now! Added a couple more customers that come up randomly, with their own sounds. Labels appear under selected items now. I put tweens on position changes for items so now they move smoothly. Also you can pause the game (not in video) and it has links to my newgrounds and bluesky. Getting close to having it in a releasable state!

Uploaded a new song! It's kind of a remix of "Tsuki no Shizuku" by TAM, more just sampled. DnB drumz & cool melodies

Sorta getting the recipe book to work - it's late so I'll leave it here for now. Don't even wanna think about what it'll take to get pictures to show up. Thinking about maybe adding UI to show the name of what item's being hovered over with the mouse? That might save me having to add pictures for the ingredients but still gotta have them for the drinks themselves.
I think this is the last piece before the game becomes a real, playable thing. After that I’ll do some polish and post! Probably good to keep the scope extra small and not add too much more since it’s one of my first godot projects.
UPDATE:
FUCK IT WHO EVEN GIVES A SHIT JUST MADE THE WHOLE THING IN ILLUSTRATOR AND IT LOOKS BETTER THAN IT WOULD'VE ANYWAY

This is a work in progress, first game I've made seriously in Godot! I'm a big fan of making cocktails, but other bartending games didn't really capture how active the process is, most of the time you just select ingredients and click a "mix" button. So in this game, you have to pay attention to where things are, where you're putting them down, what you've got in your hands, etc.
